Newly analyzed data from what seemed to be an exoplanet 25 light-years away has come to the conclusion that the Jupiter-sized planet observed is no more and may have never even existed.

The suspected exoplanet, named Fomalhaut b, was first announced in 2008, based on data from 2004 and 2006. — Daniel Stolte, University of Arizona, Phys.Org.
